Ok...this card has 2 sources of inspiration.
#1 This card is based on 2 Sketches 4 you: Laura Sketch #6:#2: I used the color scheme and stamp motif from this shirt I recently purchased.
And here is my card. I really need a good tutorial on heat embossing. I am not very good at it. Any one know how to keep stray powder from clinging to the paper??? Any feed back would be appreciated.
Thanks for looking,
Julia

Your card looks lovely. Sorry, I'm no embossing expert, only tries is once or twice.

love the card Julia and the top too. Heat embossing tip use an anti-static pad..just wipe over the surface of your card before stamping or a tumble drier sheet aka Bounce.

Your card looks terrific! Another tip for embossing too is when you are applying the heat, instead of aiming directly on the powder try aiming the heat underneath the cardstock instead. I find by doing this that your powder will not blow around before it starts to melt. Good luck :)
ReplyDeleteyou are so talented.... it makes me want to get back into scraping and stamping
ReplyDeletebeautiful!!!
ReplyDeleteVery pretty ! :)
ReplyDeleteLovely!! Great idea for inspiration!! Thanks for playing along with 2S4Y this week!! :)
ReplyDeleteanother embossing tip: Use "Embossing Magic" by Inkadinkado. The back says "Are you tired of stray particles ruining your rubber stamp image? Get rid of stray powder-before you emboss!" Basically, you rub the little pad (like a little bag of stuff) where you are going to emboss. Stamp design; sprinkle embossing powder, tap off excess... the powder only sticks to the stamped image. Whala! I use it every time! Good luck - great blog!
