Eyelet bracelet

WOW.....I made this bracelet almost 4 years ago!!! See the red "beads"? Some of them are really eyelets!
I dabble in lots of crafts, but paper crafts, specifically scrapbooking , will always be my number one. Just wanted to share this with you!

Super Secret Mother's Day project

When I saw these 12x 12 vertical albums I KNEW that they would make the perfect mother's day gift. I got it from http://socalscrap.us/. They are sold right now.

They come unpainted. I painted this one black. I think that I am going to add some ivory flowers as a final detail, but I was excited to share this with you know! I have others that I am still working on that are chocolate brown.

I decoupaged CTMH Silhouette papers on the base and added the ribbon detail on the "arms" of the frame.

I LOVE it!!!

I have 5 others to finish...I know some AWESOME mommy's that deserve one of them. I hope they like it as much as I do.

Another Black white POP card ( part 2)

I was just messing around again, I have learned that it is hard scan LUMPY cards. The scanner does not do well with the depth.

Another Black white POP card

I am not sure why this card has a pink "cast" to it, the entire front is CTMH White Daisy card stock. I made this card when I saw that Caardvarks was hosting a Black and White Plus one card challenge

The buckle is made with Liquid Glass on chipboard inked with Black ink .

It is a very simple and clean card. It does not compete with the fabulessness seen on Caardvarks...but it is mine.

I am not good with stickers!

I have a mental block when it comes to stickers. I have the hardest time making them work for me. So, I rarely even try. But since the scraps from K's Tinkberbell autograph book were just sitting there I thought I would give it a go. I used some retired CTMH pattern paper for variation. I tried, I really tried but I still don't care for it. That sticker is sitting there taunting me "Na -na- na -na -na -NA, you can't use stickers!!!" Go figure.

Tinkerbell Autograph book

K wanted to spend her birthday money on an autograph book at Disneyland. I just could not let her do it. I told her I could make one just for her and she could use her birthday money for something else. This is what I created.

Colors: Spring Iris and Citrus Green (CTMH)
Assorted ribbons.
Crystal Stickles
CTMH stamp: Playful Flourishes

P.S. She bought a Barbie and a Hair Streaker instead ( good trade don't you think???)

Chino Crop Swap (part 2)

I finished the other swap set today. Well, almost. I have a bit of detail to complete, but for the most part they are done.

This was a sketch swap, but I ended up scraplifting this LO from Vicki Wizniuk. Her 100% mischief LO is simply adorable and I could not resist. Some of the LO's I did have heart, others have stars like her LO.

Paper: CTMH More to Adore Kit

Hope

My card was inspired by Marjorie Eno's stunning card. I often admire it when I see it but, rarely use so many layers of goodies on my work.

HOPE has been on my mind a lot lately. I know a few people that need more right now so I guess that is why it keep showing up on my work.

'nother high tech tool

Well my pictures is not the greatest, but I think you will get the idea. I just started using the "high tech tool" recently and I think it will become well loved. I now use plastic canvas as a PERFECT guide for placement of brads and eyelets. How cool is that? Straight lines...even space! Fabulous!

Hope

Aaron Booth posted the cutest card the other day. It had a 3-d butterfly on it. Her card ispired my card. Thanks for the inspiration Aaron!

My card has all sorts of fabulessness all over it. I used Liquid Glass on a chipboard frame inked with Sweet Leaf....AND I put crystal Stickles on the butterfly! See how I used my "high tech tool" to make the eyelet border...Coolness. Can you tell I am proud of this card?

I wanted to add the word "hope" somewhere on the front, but could not decide where it should go, so I think I will just add it on the inside of the card.

I altered these letters a while ago, but I LOVE them. I loved the Cocoa Cafe Papers when CTMH released them as a special. I wish CTMH would release these papers again!

These letters are sitting on my mantel at the moment.
Each letter has a word on it..things I want to create in my home:

Love

Chino Crop Swap

I am hosting a sketch swap with a group of ladies I crop with on a monthly bases.

This our first go at a swap with this group, so we started small...2 groups of 5 each.

I finished one of the swap LO's this past weekend.

I used CTMH silhouette papers and Barn Red card stock for this sample, but some of the others have garden green and one has twilight.

BTW, my favorite part of this whole LO is the polka dot button on the big flower :)

I like "my box"

Trying to match colors can be one of the most frustrating parts of papercrafting. I would waste so much time and energy trying to get the colors to match. This frustration led me to become a consultant. Since I stick to one manufacture ( for the most part) I have eliminated most of that frustrations. When I do buy paper that is not CTMH, I make sure it matches my CTMH cardstock.

My friend and joke about me being in the CTMH box...but I think it makes my papercrafting life more enjoyable.

You know what is even cooler? I dabble in digital scrapbooking and I have a list of RGB color numbers that match the CTMH color palette. I think it is so cool. I used the RGB list to match my computer journalling for my "A daughter is " LO. I want to share that list with you.

pages 43 and 44: Zoo Crazy

I used the NEW Reflections Book from CTMH for the first time when creating this LO. At first I did not think I would like it, but the book is great. I shows you designs for TONS of one page LO's and then variations of picture placement. Working on a 2 page LO? No problem, it tells you what other LO's in the book will work with your current page choice.

At any rate, I used CTMH Expedetion paper for this LO.

I know I used "zoo" in the title even though we were at the wild animal park, but the kids were being wierd so it reads like 'You crazy"...get it? "Zoo Crazy" Sorry I just can't control my quirks all the time :)

High Tech tool...cheap too :)

I have used lots of tools designed to punch holes on my scrapbook projects. But, I keep going back to this. A cork board pad and a extra large push pin. I use mostly brads on my projects and this does the job for me. LOVE it! It makes me laugh when I see some products re-packaged and sold to scrapbookers for 4 times the money. Maybe I should market this and make some dough!

Another scrapbook funny

I had to laugh when I came across this comic strip. Isn't that the truth: all those naked baby pictures will be used to embarrass the heck out of my kids :)

Thinking of you

This is the last card for my card swap. And, it is so FLAT ! I am not sure I can leave it like this. The color is quite bold, so it may not need anything else. I am so used to buttons or ribbons or something else adding dimension to the card. May have to go back and pop dot the flower...

I used paper from silhouette and stamp from "All Occasions" both from CTMH.

Scrapbook Funny

Thank You

I hang on to paper for a LONG time... WHO knows how long I have had this sheet of paper...so pretty. I do not even know who the manufacturer is.

I finally decided to use it for the card swap I am hosting...here are the results.

The "thank you" was cut out of Cricut cartridge Opposites attract.

I have one more set of cards to make and I will be done.

Page 41 and 42: A daughter is

I have worked on this LO in stages for a LONG time. The small pictures are of me at 1 year old. The large picture is my daugher at the same age in the same dress.

The quote is printed on vellum and reads: A daughter is the happy memories of the past, the joyful moments of the present, and the hope and promise of the future.

The paper is CTMH Floral Tapestry

Brads , flowers and ribbon are all CTMH.

another blank card

First of all I would like to say that the scan of this card does not look right. I used pop dots on the flower and I think that with the button the dimension was too much to handle.

This card is made with CTMH stamp set called Rustic Flowers. It is an older set but I like it a lot.

Any way it is for my card swap and I have not determined what sentiment I will use with it yet. Go figure.

Colors: CTMH Sweet Leaf and Twilight. And look, there is that polka dot paper again. I must be on a Polka Dot kick :)
