What A Hoot ( Out of the Box!)

I shared with you on the Stamp Of The Month Blog Hop that I kept thinking of all the cool ways I could use the August's Stamp of the Month S1408 What A Hoot.

Here is another Out Of The Box card I created.

I used the owl's legs and the eye to create these lovely little flowers!  I love them!

Colors used to stamp this card are:  Pear, Thistle, Pixie, Glacier and Canary

What A Hoot (Stamp Of The Month Blog Hop)

Welcome to our Stamp of the Month Blog Hop featuring What A Hoot.   If you have come here from Lela Norris's Blog you are on the right path! I loved her card!  The blog hop is a great big circle, so you can start here and work your way all around. If you get lost, we have a list of participants.

When I saw this stamp set I knew my daughter would love it because she loves owls.

It is a great little stamp for Halloween, but for some reason I could not stop obsessing over the wing.  All I saw was a petal.    It was all I could think about. So much so that when I got the stamp set, I HAD to create this out of the box card!

*Stamped Thistle ink on Thistle cardstock to create the petals.
*Fussy cut the petals out.
*I assembled my flower.  I used a bit of Thistle Ribbon.  The center of the flower is Thistle ink stamped on to the white space in a scrap of the Seaside B& T.
* Placed the flower on the Seaside B & T
*Added pennats cut from Seaside B & T and Thistle Cardstock

Here is a close up shot!   I rolled the petals of the flower a bit and used adhesive foam for a bit of dimension.

I am the "CABOOSE" of this Blog Hop! We thank you for joining us!  If you'd like to see it again, hop over Adeline Brill's Blog to to see her super cute Scrapbook Layout and the start of our Hop!
