Color My Heart: Dare #1

Fellow Close To My Heart consultant Sarah Stone has started Color My Heart,  a color dare blog.  I am excited to participate.   Color Dare #1 is to use Amethyst, Petal and/or Smokey Plum  on a project.  I chose to create a card.

Most of color on this monochromatic card is Smokey Plum.   I stamped my sentiment Butterfly (A1120)  in Petal on White Daisy card stock and then mounted it to petal card stock.  I stamped the sentiment again in Smokey Plum, so I could cut the butterfly out and pop dotted it for depth.  For the ribbon detail, I dyed CTMH's color ready seam binding with Smokey Plum re-inker.

Here is a close up side view of the card...
Thank you Sarah for the Color Dare!

  1. Julia, your card is gorgeous! Great job on the butterfly and I especially love the seam binding ribbon. I haven't seen it colored such a deep shade before, and I really like the effect! Thanks for playing along!
