Standing Stamp Of The Month Card Swap

I joined fellow consultant, Nancy Hatcher's Stamp of the Month swap.

Every month I make a 6x6 card that features the upcoming stamp of the month. I send in my card and in return I get the WONDERFUL work of the other ladies in the swap...

Here's the intimidating part of it. I really don't consider myself a seasoned card maker. So this swap will be a stretch for me.

I spent this past Saturday making the cards for October and November.

The first card ( with the star) is October's card. It was inspired by a card I received 3 Christmas' ago... ( Yes, I save cards from people). It features the NEW CTMH kit Everlasting.
The colors are Cranberry, Bamboo and Ponderosa Pine

The 2nd card is November's Card and it was inspired by a sketch posted by Erin G. It features papers from the new CTMH kit :Caprice. Colors features on this card are Chocolate, Honey, and Crystal Blue.

Hope you enjoy it!

Deck of Card: Day 3 {Childhood}

Pammie and Erica have started a great project:

Discoveryhearts ( Pammie)

and

Deck Of Discovery ( Erica)

I have decided to join in on the fun...I am sure I wont be able to participate in all of them, but I will be following Pammie 's Daily list and will join when I can...

The word for Day #3 is Childhood. I wanted to focus on the fact that my kiddos will not be little forever.

Livin' On The Edge

Shortly after my dad died, my brother, mom and I took a trip to The Royal Gorge. I guess I was feeling bullet proof that day, because I went on the SkyCoaster.

I created this LO using CTMH Route 66 papers. I also used "Grand Finale" a LO sketch from the new IMAGINE book ( LOVE IT!!!)

The journaling reads: "It may not make sense to everyone, but James and I just had to go on this ride. Had dad been with us, he too would have been on it. There is no better way to honor him then living our lives to the fullest. Royal Gorge. Canon City, Colorado. July 2007"
