Mother's Day 2004

Oldies but goodies...

This Layout is one of my favorites...created in 2004.
My husband took these pictures of us on Mother's Day and I have always loved these pictures.

BTW...I used the QuickQutz for the first time with this LO...I thought it was the coolest thing EVER. Little did I know that CRICUT was on it way.

Card Sketch Challenge

Korin Sutherland issued a card sketch challenge on her blog.

This card did NOT turn out as I expected.

It all started with those little yellow brads...I wanted to use them. So I grabbed this striped paper from CTMH's Good Times kit and went from there. I am not convinced this card is "right". But, "not perfect" is OK.

Thanks for looking,

Julia

Splash of Color Challenge

Nona Davenport issued a splash of challenge on her blog. She challenged us "to create a card or layout with the Silhouette papers (or black, white and neutral colored other papers) AND one accent color."

I ended up making 3 cards!

Thanks for the challenge Nona :)

Don't Blink Challenge

Pauline issued a challenge on her blog to create a LO inspired by the Kenny Chesney song "Don't Blink".

Althought I did this LO last year, it fits this challenge so I thought I'd post it all for you.

Paper: CTMH More to Adore
Stamps: CTMH Rustic

Journaling: There are somethings you just dont GET until you become a mom. The concept of how quickly time will pass is one of them. Seven years of mommy-hood gone in the blink of an eye.

Art Day Frames

My children's school has an ART DAY, and I will be teaching a class on altered Frames. I was asked to create samples for display.

I picked Close To My Heart papers for my samples: Good Times for the boys and Life Delights for the girls.

Thanks for looking.
